RAXIF — OFFLINE PDF TOOLS
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Raxif and Jeff Lim ("Raxif", "we", "us", or "our") handle information in connection with the Raxif desktop application and the official Raxif website.
Raxif is designed as offline PDF software. The desktop application performs document-processing operations locally on your device and is not designed to upload your PDF files, images, document contents, or document-processing activity to us.
1. Raxif desktop application
Raxif processes files that you choose to open or import so it can perform the functions you request, such as combining, splitting, editing, converting, watermarking, numbering, or compressing documents. This processing occurs locally on your device.
Raxif does not require an account or an Internet connection for normal document processing, and the application is not designed to transmit your documents to Jeff Lim or to a remote document-processing service.
Raxif may store preferences locally on your device, including settings such as language, light or dark appearance, sorting choices, conversion options, compression preferences, and similar feature settings. These preferences are used to remember your choices on that device.
Raxif does not include advertising trackers, behavioural analytics, or telemetry intended to report your document usage to us.
2. Your files and outputs
You choose which local files Raxif reads and where generated files are saved. Raxif does not intentionally retain copies of your source documents after you close the application, except where your operating system, file system, backups, temporary-file mechanisms, or other software may independently retain information.
Raxif does not control files after you save them. You are responsible for protecting files stored on your own device and choosing appropriate storage, backup, and access controls.
3. Raxif website
The Raxif website is intended primarily as a product-information and download/purchase landing page. The current site is designed without Raxif-operated advertising trackers, behavioural analytics, external document uploads, or account registration.
Like most websites, the hosting provider used to serve the site may automatically process technical information needed to deliver and secure it, such as IP addresses, timestamps, requested pages, browser information, and server logs. Any such processing is performed by the hosting provider under its own terms and privacy practices unless otherwise stated on the website.
If the website is changed in the future to add analytics, cookies, accounts, forms, or other data-collection features, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate before those features are used.
4. Purchases and third-party services
Purchases of Raxif may be offered through an external merchant-of-record or checkout provider, such as Lemon Squeezy. When you follow a purchase or checkout link, you interact with that provider rather than submitting payment-card information directly to the Raxif website.
The checkout provider may collect and process information needed to complete the transaction, provide receipts or downloads, address fraud, comply with tax and legal obligations, and provide customer-service functions. That information is handled under the provider's own terms and privacy policy.
We do not receive or store your full payment-card details merely because you purchase Raxif through a third-party merchant of record. We may receive limited transaction or customer information made available to a software vendor, such as your name, email address, order information, license information, or purchase status, where needed to provide the product, support a purchase, or communicate about the transaction.
5. Email and update communications
If you voluntarily provide an email address or opt in to receive Raxif product-update announcements, that address may be used for the purpose described when you provide it. We may use a third-party email or commerce provider to deliver those messages.
Optional marketing or update communications will include an appropriate way to unsubscribe where required. Unsubscribing from optional communications does not by itself cancel a valid Raxif software license.
6. Information we do not sell
We do not sell personal information to advertisers. Raxif's business model is based on selling software, not on monetizing the contents of your documents or behavioural advertising profiles.
7. Retention
Information stored only as local Raxif preferences remains on your device until it is changed or removed through the application, operating system, or application-data controls.
For information handled through a purchase, support request, email service, website host, or other third-party provider, retention may depend on that provider's systems, legal obligations, fraud-prevention requirements, accounting requirements, and the purpose for which the information was collected.
We retain personal information under our direct control only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to operate and support Raxif, maintain appropriate business records, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps appropriate to the nature of information under our control. However, no computer, storage device, network, website, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Because document processing in Raxif is local, the security of your documents also depends on your own device, operating system, user account, storage location, backups, and security practices.
9. Children
Raxif is a general-purpose productivity application and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly design the application to collect personal information from children through document processing.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, applicable privacy law may give you rights regarding personal information under our control, such as requesting access to or correction of information or asking questions about how information is handled.
Because Raxif's document processing is local and does not send your documents to us, we generally cannot access or retrieve documents that exist only on your device.
11. Third-party links and international processing
The Raxif website may link to third-party websites or services, including a checkout provider. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Third-party providers used for hosting, commerce, email, software delivery, or support may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Raxif's practices, website, service providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented in an appropriate manner where required.
13. Contact
Raxif is developed and provided by Jeff Lim in Ontario, Canada. Questions about this Privacy Policy or personal information under our control may be directed to Jeff Lim using the contact information provided with your Raxif purchase or published on the official Raxif website.
This Privacy Policy does not replace rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
